Reserves Season Review 2020 / 2021
The 2020 / 2021 season for Milborne Port Reserves ended with them narrowly missing out on silverware after a lockdown affected season.
September saw a loss, a win and a draw in the first three games of the Dorset Division Two season, followed by October bringing two wins and three losses.
When the season resumed in April, the disruption caused by lockdown saw the regular league season being replaced with the Dorset League Division Two League Cup; a group stage followed by a semi final then final to crown the winner.
Milborne Port Reserves progressed through the group stage with five wins, two draws and one loss to face Broadstone FC Seniors Reserves in the semi final. A 1-0 win put them through to the final against Puddletown, which after going ahead within minutes on a sunny day in Milborne St. Andrews they sadly lost 3-1.
However, congratulations must go to Mark Bennett & the players for a great season, with particular mention going to Jack Harvey who finished second in the top scorer rankings for the season on 12 goals, just one behind the winner.
