A Team Season Review 2020/2021

After a difficult season badly affected by lockdown enforced fixture congestion at the tail end of the season, Milborne Port A Team finished their Yeovil & District League Division Two season in 10th.

The season started in September with two 3-0 wins sandwiching two losses and October saw the reverse happening with a 4 – 3 away win against Barwick Reserves separating two narrow losses. The only match of December produced a 2 – 0 home win against Zeals FC.

The season resumed post lockdown in April with the final two months proving very difficult with a level of fixture congestion that any team would struggle with. Playing pretty much twice a week for the remainder of the season brought many injury & fitness issues resulting in only one win in this period.

Many thanks need to go to the players for playing through this gruelling end to the season and also to manager Chris Browne who is leaving his role as A Team manager after several years at the helm. We wish him luck in the future and welcome Ben Crossley who is taking over next season.
