Reserves Miss Out In Cup Final

On 29th May, Milborne Port Reserves were unsuccessful in the final of the Dorset Football League Division 2 League Cup final, losing out 3 – 1 to Puddletown.

With glorious sunshine and an immaculate pitch in Milborne St. Andrew, it was a perfect day for football. It was also the perfect start for Mark Bennett’s team as Jack Harvey scored after only a few minutes. However, the teams went in level at half time after Puddletown equalized towards the end of the half. Puddletown followed up with two more goals in the second half and despite some good chances for Milborne Port Reserves later in half, the match ended 3 – 1.

Congratulations to Puddletown on their victory and congratulations to Mark Bennett & his team on a great season despite Covid -19 & the disruptions that came with it.
